Susanna,” “Camptown Races,” “Beautiful Dreamer” and “My Old Kentucky Home.” We invite you and your family for an evening to remember outdoors on the grounds of the beautiful My Old Kentucky Home State Park, in our beautiful amphitheater.
Step into the enchanted world of Broadway's modern classic, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, an international sensation that has played to over 35 million people worldwide in 13 countries. The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
In the 1950s, the "Straw Hat Trail" was a series of outdoor theaters located across America during the station wagon road-trip days that produced musicals well into the 21st century.
Stephen Foster Story, and its' Dan J. Talbott Amphitheater, are the vestiges of this great trail, and still alive and well after nearly 50 years of operation!
