A fun, discovery filled tour about the traditions of the Easter holiday in Victorian America. A great experience for the whole family! Don't miss, "Meadow's in the Bloom" this March and April!
This spring our special Victorian Easter tour, "Meadows in the Bloom" will showcase all of the fun and unusual Easter customs of the 19th century! See the historic mansion "My Old Kentucky Home" decorated for the Easter holiday! On display in the mansion's parlor is our Easter tree with decorated eggs! See what are considered today to be highly odd, even weird, Easter greeting cards, and see a nearly 200 year old Easter cross made of wax flowers and hand detailed greenery made by one of the original owners of My Old Kentucky Home. The mansion's dining room will be decorated for an Easter dinner, with fine china, silver, flowers, and beautiful streamers in Easter colors.
