John Carnes Rowan

1841-1862

John C. Rowan was born c.1841. He was described in letter as being “quite a handsome gentlemanly fellow”, and as having “more business talent decidedly than either of the other boys”. John fell ill and died in Feb. 1862. He is buried in the Rowan family cemetery at Federal Hill.
